IV Sedation
Most dental procedures in children are completed using local anesthesia. However, very young, fearful, or uncooperative children may require additional care. Depending upon your child's health history, temperament, age and dental care needs, Dr. Jenna may recommend IV sedation. Our office has partnered with Pediatric Dental Anesthesia Associates who has a team of Pediatric Anesthesiologists to provide the best care possible for your child.
Intravenous (IV) sedation is a deep sleep that insulates your child from the stress and discomfort associated with dental procedures. Anesthesia is administered and monitored by board certified anesthesiologists who work to make your child's experience fun and safe. IV sedation is an alternative option for most patients who may have been recommended to go to the operating room for completion of treatment.
Feel free to review their FAQ page or give our office a call if you think your child may benefit from this option of treatment.
